The JBS Summer Challenge

On a sunny weekend in August we entered and did the JBS Summer Challenge , which was at two sites which we fairly close to us .So it was rude not to do it

They were at the Slindon site near Chichester, and the Grand Canyon  Site near Brighton.

I entered with Mark my usual co driver and went along with my brother Julian and his other half Vicky. The weekend was very good and very tough .  Here are some of the photos of the weekend

Pic of one of the speed section where time was the main thing .Mark was getting in the truck while I was moving
This is Julian on one of the other speed section
Crossing a ditch at speed
Julian going though the Ditch from hell

Most people got stuck on this one (including me) and had to use waffle boards or winches to get out. Julian got a little stuck as he front dived into the other bank
But a little back and a bit more from his 4.2 V8 and he came out and went on to set a blinding time
At the camp after the first day
Time to check everything is ok
Julian doing the same and checking the Overload protectors
Then up for more of the same the next day
And the same for Julian, we were all fed up with the taste of dust by the weekend
Does not really give the idea of speed
Me by my truck at the end of the second day, sat like this to get out of the Sun, as it was so hot that weekend
Mark and I came third which we were well pleased with for our first JBS event

Julian and Vicky came 9th which was great for them as they have just started to compete in these events
